Tiba-tiba pula terasa rindu dengan blog ini setelah hampir 9 bulan tidak menekan abjad keyboard laptop untuk berkongsi isi hati mahu pun pengalaman. Ah...macam tidak betul ini masa.... baru 9 bulan tapi kalau orang mengandung sudah mau bersalin. Macam inilah hidup, masa berlalu cepat malah dalam tempoh sesingkat ini banyak yang suka dan duka dialami biar pun ianya telah berlalu namun semuanya tetap kekal dalam hati.

Pada mulanya, saya tidak update ini blog sebab sibuk mau prepare untuk final exam yang juga merupakan final semester saya . Kemalasan berlarutan sehinggalah pada lewat petang 24/12/2009 ibu saya pergi buat selama-lamanya. Bayangkan orang sibuk sambut krismas saya sekeluarga meratapi pemergian ibu. Sedih memang sedih apa tah lagi ibu saya pergi selamanya ketika berada didalam gereja sempena upacara sembahyang malam krismas. Doa saya sentiasa mengiringi ibu agar bersemadi dengan aman dan damai dan kami sentiasa merindu mu...Apapun hidup mesti diteruskan. I Miss You so much mom... Tanggal 11 Mac 2010, saya pula masuk ward, buat surgery, ya lah mau hidup lama sikit kena lah buat surgrey seperti yang dinasihatkan. Buang duit lagi, kos pembedahan dan ward sejumlah RM6,000.00 dibelanjakan, kalau di hospital kerajaan tidak lah bayar sebanyak ini tapi kalau hospital kerajaan apa lagi di Sabah ini kenalah ikut giliran baru kena buat apa yang patut. Sedangkan kesakitan sudah melebihi tahap gaban. Kawan saya kawin pun saya termiss attend...sorry kawan saya tidak dapat datang seperti yang saya janjikan. Ini lah yang orang cakap kita hanya mampu merancang....

Aduhai...kesedihan saya tidak sudah-sudah, dalam bulan Mei 2010 ini juga saya kehilangan kawan yang baik buat saya. Kawan yang sudah lama ingin saya temui tapi atas sebab otak saya ini lambat berfikir dan terlalu emosi serta sensitif, akibatnya saya kehilangan kawan baik, yang selalu berkongsi cerita dengan saya... Maaf kawan kalau saya bersalah . Diharap satu hari nanti kawan baik saya ini akan memaafkan saya, 10 tahun , 20 tahun saya akan sentiasa mengharapkan kemaafan itu..I really Miss Your Jokes kawan.. Saya harap saya akan ada rezeki untuk makan udang masak mayonis dengan dia...Saat gembira datang juga...22/5/2010 merupakan hari konvokesyen saya..Happy ada sedih pun ada...tanpa saya sedari juga rupanya sudah 7 bulan saya tidak masuk kuliah. Rindu pula sama kawan-kawan, rindu juga buat toyol-toyol dalam keadaan sorok-sorok sebab ada kamera disiling untuk ambil gambar toyol...

Tapi yang bikin panas, balik saja dari Konvokesyen 9 ekor kucing kesayangan saya kena demam dan selsema. Apa macam kena selsema , saya malas mau cerita bikin panas!!!....sampai sekarang 1 ekor kucing saya si Itam masih dirawat di ward klinik haiwan . Harap-harap dia boleh sembuh. 1 ekor lagi kitten di rumah sudah kena jarum diklinik, saya jaga kasi minum glukos tiap 4 jam Selebihnya sudah mula pulih....Saya betul-betul sakit hati bila cakap pasal punca kucing saya yang sakit ini....GERAM betul.....

Sekarang ni, ada baki 7 bulan lagi sebelum tahun 2010 ini berahkir...harap-harap apa yang berlaku selepas ini semuanya yang mengembirakan untuk saya kongsikan bersama di blog yang mula dipenuhi dengan sawang-sawang ini....

Jeruk bambangan is a traditional appetizer for most of the Sabahan particularly for the Kadazan and Dusun tribe. The bambangan tree is very tall and it takes long years to mature and bear its fruits. The fruits are round and brown in colour. It has a nice smell when it is ripe. This fruit either can be eaten raw when it is ripe or turn it into Jeruk Bambangan, a local delicacies that can be a delicious appetizer. Raw bambangan also can be added to the 'Gulai ikan' or sabahan call it 'sup ikan bambangan'. For the Suang Lotud which is one of the Dusun ethnic from Tuaran will add the bambangan to their favorite recipie "soto daging kerbau".

The bambangan Fruit

Lately, the Bambangan is getting popular among every race in Sabah. My friend a Burunai from Weston Beaufort told me that her mom turn the bambangan skin into " ulam ". A kadayan friend of mine from sipitang said that her mom started to make a jeruk bambangan after her mom's collegue a dusun gave her to taste the Jeruk bambangan.

Let me share with you how to make Jeruk Bambangan

Ingredients

5 fruits of Bambangan
3 Bambangan seeds
Salt

Steps to make Jeruk Bambangan

1. Peel off the bambangan skin. It is adviseable to wear a hand glove or any cloth while peeling the bambangan fruits, because the bambangan will produce sticky substances around it which can burn skin.

2.Cut the peeled off bambangan into small squares pieces, just the right size. Put aside the seed.

3. Take the bambangan seed and peel the outer layer of the seed. The outer layer is very hard so a tricky thing to do when peel the outer layer of the seed. Cut the inner seed ( white in colour ) into small and blend it.

4.Take the bambangan pieces that had cut earlier and mix it with the blended inner seed, mixing them bit by bit. When had mix all of the crumbs, add 1 to 2 table spoons of salt (or enough to taste) to the mixture and mix it all again. Leave it to be about half an hour before putting them in jars or containers. Do not use a plastic container because it will spoilt the Jeruk bambangan.

Jeruk bambangan can last for quite sometimes because it tastes better as it gets older.

The fruit as below is not bambangan don't be confused because this one is a poisonous fruits. I forgot the name of this fruit, I am sure those working with agriculture sector or studying( studied) Agriculture familiar with this fruit. As far as I know, This poisonus fruit tree can be found at Penang Botanical Garden and Taman Pertanian Tenom Sabah.

mY nEw Buddy..

My Dream to have a Golden Retriever become reality. A friendly type of dog and one of the most popular pet among dog lovers' and I name him Buddy.I bought him yesterday
( Sunday 30/8/2009) and at the same day brought him to animal clinic for virus test and vaccination. Luckily there was no virus on him. So now I have 2 dogs ( Benji & Buddy), 4 cats ( Chao Ann, Wen Li, Ghaul & Chatri). Just to inform, that my rabbit was died 2 weeks ago( 10/8/2009) because of the cancerous growth on her earlobe, I miss my rabbit.

The 5 weeks old 'Buddy'( date of birth 20th July 2009) the Golden Retriever puppy.

I am back with the jalan jalan cari makan he he he ;D. Recently, my gang and I had a dinner at one of my favorite restaurant in the area of Kolombong Inanam. It is open for business from morning till midnight but the 'ikan panggang' and the 'Sayap panggang' will only available during dinner time.emmm Yummy!! Sedappppp betul!, the price is reasonable too, RM83.00 for the foods plus drinks. I only remember the price of the 'ikan panggang' and the 'sayap panggang' which were RM35.00 for the grilled fish and RM1.50 each for the chicken wing.

I also 'tapau' the fish sauce, Budu( PHOTO 5) for the grilled fish.;D

The Tuaran tamu ( Weekly open market ) gathers every Sunday. There are many stalls selling cooked food can be seen and for those who want a snack or perhaps a late breakfast can buy them here. You also can see the Tamu roughly divided into local produce such as fruits and vegetables, fresh seafood such as fishes, prawns, crabs and cockles, as well as a section for fresh meat and white water fish like ikan karuk :), ikan tilapia, lampam jawa, lindung( eel), ikan patin(catfish) and many more. I am sorry I don't know some of the fishes name in English version.

Tamu or weekly open market is where locals of all races come to visit. The amount of fresh produce is wonderful to look at and cheap to buy.It is colorful, noisy, filled with smells and exotic offerings

I did captured a panorama of The Tuaran town and its weekly tamu this morning.I noticed that less fruits and fishes ,I think it is because of not a fruits season and the bad weather. The sellers were quite friendly " sini lagi bah ambil gambar, saya mau masuk news ni" he he so funny but some of them "malu malu kucing"..

Actually, I am not only addicted on surfing internet but a book worm too. Recently I went to a bookstore and bought a few books . I have not finish read them but I will ensure that I will finish before the next semester begin.;)

BENJI oh BENJI

This is Benji I bought him at the Giant Supermarket 'Tamu' ground located in the area of Kolombong Inanam on the 9/5/2009 with the price of RM250.00.The seller told me that this puppy is a hybrid of ( Local and imported breed dog),a very efficient marketing approach he he he.Even though I was not sure whether it is true or not I decided to buy him because I really like this puppy. He is about 3 months old and after I settled the payment ,I brought him to veterinary clinic for vaccination.

Five days later, I brought him to veterinary clinic because he vomited a few times,not active and looked sick. A test was done on him and the veterinarian told me that Benji was infected by The Parvovirus.The veteranian said that the only treatment of parvovirus is by Replacing fluids lost through vomiting and diarrhea.Therefore, Benji need to be warded to help him to fight the virus in his body. Benji was cared for treatment by the veteranian for 6 days from 13/5/2009 till 18/5/2009.

I paid about RM380.30 for the treatment.A special thanks to all staff at the veterinary clinic for their kindness & good services.Actually, I called the veterinarian every morning and afternoon from the start he was warded.

Hi! everyone..Some of you might had read this story. Actually this entry was emailed to me by one of my acquaintance, he is a nice man and love to share a story that insipiring for me. I posted it here to share with all my blog readers and blogger friends.

Let us open our mind and think about child abuse, gender discrimination, illegal abortion, irresponsible husband, a single mothers who work hard for their children,which was increasing and never end problems.A child, boys or girls, they are created with their own destiny!! who knows?.

Neera Chopra( Pooja's Mommy ) lived through abuse, poverty and some tough choices to make her once-unwanted girl child, Pooja Chopra,

Neera Chopra's story:
I don’t know where to begin... they were terrible times. My husband was well-placed, but the marriage had begun to sink almost as soon as it began. Like most women do, I tried to work against all the odds .

My in-laws insisted everything would be alright if I had a son. My first child was a daughter, and that didn’t do me any good... but I couldn’t walk out. I had lost my father, my brother was in a not-so-senior position in Bata. I didn’t want to be a burden on my family and continued to live in my marital home in Kolkata.

I looked after my mother-inlaw, who was suffering from cancer, and while bathing her, I would tell myself she would bless me and put things right.

I don’t know how I tolerated it all. The least a man can do, if he must philander, is to not flaunt his women in his wife’s face. Then began the manhandling. I still wanted my marriage to survive. I was a pure vegetarian and learnt to cook non-vegetarian delicacies thinking it would please him.

Then, I was pregnant again. When Pooja was eight months in my womb, my husband brought a girl to the house and announced he would marry her. I thought of killing myself. I hung on the slight hope that if the baby was a boy, my marriage could be saved.

When Pooja was born a girl, for three days, nobody came to the hospital. There was a squadron leader’s wife on the opposite bed, who was kind enough to give me baby clothes for Pooja to wear. When she was 20 days old, I had to make a choice. I left the house with my girls ‘ Pooja and Shubra, who was seven then. I haven’t seen my husband since. I promised myself, even if we had just one roti, we would share it, but together.

I began life in Mumbai with the support of my mother, brother, who was by then married. It wasn’t the ideal situation, especially when he had children ‘ space, money, everything was short. I began work at the Taj Colaba and got my own place. How did I manage’ Truth be told, I would put a chatai on the floor, leave two glasses of milk and some food, and bolt the door from outside before going to work. I would leave the key with the neighbours and tell the kids to shout out to them when it was time to leave for school.

Their tiny hands would do homework on their own, feed themselves on days that I worked late. My elder daughter Shubhra would make Pooja do her corrections... This is how they grew up. At a birthday party, Pooja would not eat her piece of cake, but pack it and bring it home to share with her sister. When Shubhra started working, she would skip lunch and pack a chicken sandwich that she would slip in her sister’s lunchbox the next day.

I used to pray, ‘God, punish me for my karma, but not my innocent little kids. Please let me provide them the basics.’ I used to struggle for shoes, socks, uniforms. I was living in Bangur Nagar, Goregaon. Pooja would walk four bus stops down to the St Thomas
Academy. Then, too little to cross the road, she would ask a passerby to help her. I had to save the bus money to be able to put some milk in their bodies.

Life began to change when I got a job for Rs 6,000 at the then Goa Penta. Mr Chhabra, the owner, and his wife, were kind enough to provide a loan for me. I sent my daughters to my sister’s house in Pune, with my mother as support. I spent four years working in Goa while I saved to buy a small one-bedroom house in Pune (where the family still lives). I would work 16-18 hours a day, not even taking weekly offs to accumulate leave and visit my daughters three or four times a year.

Once I bought my house and found a job in Pune, life began to settle. I worked in Hotel Blue Diamond for a year and then finally joined Mainland China ‘ which changed my life. The consideration of the team and management brought me the stability to bring them up, despite late hours and the travelling a hotelier must do.

Shubhra got a job in Hotel Blue Diamond, being the youngest employee there while still in college, and managed to finish her Masters in commerce and her BBM. Today, she is married to a sweet Catholic boy who is in the Merchant Navy and has a sweet daughter.

I continue to finish my day job and come home and take tuitions, as I have done for all these years. I also do all my household chores myself.

Through the years, Shubhra has been my anchor and Pooja, the rock. Pooja’s tiny hands have wiped away my tears when I broke down. She has stood up for me, when I couldn’t speak for myself. Academically brilliant, she participated in all extra-curricular activities. When she needed high heels to model in, she did odd shows and bought them for herself.

When I saw Pooja give her speech on TV, I knew it came from her heart. I could see the twinkle in her eye. And I thought to myself as she won ‘My God, this is my little girl.’ God was trying to tell me something.

Today, I’ve no regrets. I believe every cloud has a silver lining. As a mother, I’ve done nothing great.

‘I won due to my mother’s karma’

Pantaloons Femina Miss India Pooja Chopra’s mother promised ‘One day, this girl will make me proud’. Pooja speaks on fulfilling that promise... When I was 20 days old, my mother was asked to make a choice. It was either me ‘ a girl child, or her husband. She chose me. As she walked out she turned around and told her husband, ‘One day, this girl will make me proud’. That day has come. Her husband went on to marry a woman who gave him two sons. Today, as I stand here a Miss India, I don’t even know if my father knows that it is me, his daughter, who has set out to conquer the world, a crown on my head. Our lives have not been easy, least so for my mother. Financially, emotionally, she struggled to stay afloat, to keep her job and yet allow us to be the best that we could be. I was given only one condition when I started modelling ‘ my grades wouldn’t drop.

All the girls in the pageant worked hard, but my edge was my mother’s sacrifice, her karma. Today, when people call to congratulate me, it’s not me they pay tribute to, but to her life and her struggle. She’s the true Woman of Substance. She is my light, my mentor, my driving force. My win was merely God’s way of compensating her.

I Am Sick..

Dear friends, I am sorry for making you all disappointed in reading my blog. Actually, I am not feeling well in the past few weeks but still can write and visit you all.My health getting worst even though I had finished the medicine.Yesterday, I went to the same clinic for the second time with the same problem and the doctor advised me to have enough rest. He gave me medicine for gastric, stress, fever, piles and diarrhoea.Today,I just stay at home and sleep a whole day. I hope by doing this it will help me to recover before my next exam paper i.e on 29/4.

Recently, I read an article about this campaign in the Sabah Daily Express, and last saturday I read this campaign posted in one of my cyberfriend's blog then I really interested and want to support this campaign. Last night, I asked permission from him to copy paste the article into my blog, and here the campaign goes....

Kenapa pula nak tutup lampu ??

- Sebab... sudah tiba masanya untuk kita bertindak dan sedar. Tentang pengunaan dan pembaziran tenaga yang berlebihan selama ini. Secara tidak langsung telah memberi kesan terhadap kenaikan suhu dunia. Satu jam ( 60 minit ) tanpa lampu , diharapkan dapat memberi impak. Tentang bagaimana kita menilai sumber tenaga yang sedia ada.

Siapa yang mulakan benda ini ??

- Ianya bermula sebagai sebuah kempen di Kotaraya Sydney , pada tahun 2007. Kempen ini mendapat sokongan dan amat berjaya , apabila hampir 2.2 milion rumah dan kedai perniagaan bersama-sama menutup lampu. Setahun kemudian acara ini telah menjadi sebutan di seluruh pelusuk bumi - dengan penyertaan hampir 50 million orang dan merangkumi sejumlah 35 buah negara. Acara ini diraikan , sebagai satu simbol harapan kepada satu perubahan.

Cuma tutup lampu lah ??

- Ya , hanya tutup lampu selama 1 jam ( 60 minit ) pada 28 Mac ini , bermula jam 8.30 malam . Itu sahaja tanda sokongan yang perlu lakukan. Dan dalam kegelapan ini , mungkin kita boleh berfikir betapa sumber tenaga itu seharusnya diguna dengan baik, dan bukan untuk dibazirkan.

Boleh ker saya buat benda ini ??

- Sudah tentu boleh . Hanya memerlukan hujung jari ,[ Untuk menutup suis lampu ] kita akan mampu mengubah nasib Bumi ini . Mari kita semua beramai-ramai menyahut seruan 60 MINUTES-Earth Hour 2009 .Yang akan berlangsung pada 28 Mac 2009 [ Sabtu ] , bermula jam 8.30 malam. Dengan hanya menutup semua lampu selama 60 minit , kita telah membawa harapan baru terhadap masa depan Bumi.

Apa matlamat untuk tahun ini ??

- Tahun ini , diharapkan sebanyak 1 billion umat manusia yang bertaburan di lebih 1000 buah kotaraya . Akan bersama-sama berganding bahu dalam projek global ini. Ini akan menjadi pemangkin yang kita boleh sama-sama mengambil tindakan bersama , dalam menangani isu pemanasan suhu dunia yang berlaku sekarang ini.

Siapa lagi yang saya nak ajak ??

- SEMUA !!! - Tindakan ini menuntut kerjasama semua pihak. Dari orang perseorangan , Industri Perniagaan dan komuniti setempat. Kita boleh bersama-sama keluarga , teman rakan dan ahli komuniti tempat kita tinggal untuk merayakan 1 jam tanpa cahaya ini. Begitu juga dengan Pihak berwajib , dan dari situ baru kita akan dapat melihat setiap bangunan. Yang melatari kaki langit setiap ibu kota dunia , bermula dari asia , eropah , africa dan amerika akan bergelap untuk menyahut seruan kempen ini.

Jadi apa saya nak buat sekarang ?? - Mari , kita war-warkan kempen ini kepada semua.

Bersama-sama, kita akan membuat satu perubahan yang amat besar. Kepada alam yang menjadi tempat tinggal kita selama ini . Sehingga kini sudah hampir 538 kota di 75 negara , sudah menyertai Earth Hour 2009. Jumlah ini semakin meningkat dari hari ke hari , menunjukan bahawa semua pihak sudah mula memberi sokongan. Lihat , mudah bukan..kita cuma perlu percaya. Dengan hanya berkerjasama diantara satu induvidu kepada induvidu yang lain , kita akan melihat SATU KUASA besar yang akan membawa perubahan.

The clinic where my rabbit got her treatment

Tonight my rabbit can sleep where ever she wish... atas sofa pun bule...

Yesterday, I brought my rabbit to a veterinary ( Animal Clinic )nearby Foh Sang, Luyang because there was a growth in her right earlobe and the veterinarian told me that the growth needed to be dissected. There were many “patients” at that day and the veterinarian advised me to boarded the rabbit with them for a night…

Tired but happy because today my rabbit came home and I fetched her from the clinic at about 12.00pm. I was happy because the veterinarian told me that the rabbit will be alright within a few days and the cost for her treatment was RM95.00 which included, RM85.00 for the surgical and RM15.00 for the medicine and for me it was a reasonable cost, I say this because I treat my pet just like human. I am sure that pets lover will understand what I mean.

I managed to reached home after one and a half hour driving from the clinic to my home which usually 30 minutes for a normal speed...Can you imagine how slow I drove my car 40kmph to 60kmph...he he he...just because the rabbit can't stay in her place if I increase the speed.ha ha sengsara betul wo..

For those who never been to a veterinary clinic, it is nice to share that at animal clinic you can see a great real friendship between the pet and their master . The pet owner treats their pet just like a human. They talk to them, shower their pet with love and you can see it is like a mother bring her baby to a clinic for treatment. It is lucky for those pets that taken care by the right person. I just smiled at them(human & animal), happy and 'talked' to each other...yes, human and animal...

I read this article from the Today's Sabah Daily Express 6/3/2009(friday)page 9. I copy & paste this article from internet written by the bernama jouralist. I am sure most of you had read it. I just want to highlight it and share your own experience or comment regarding this matter.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 5 (BERNAMA) -- Boarding a cab is a daily routine for thousands of commuters in the Klang Valley but unfortunately for Puteri Kaarriena El-Sherief, 19, her first taxi ride alone ended up as a terrifying one.

Puteri Kaarriena is among those who came face to face with a robber masquerading as a taxi driver.

Nonetheless, this tall exuberant lass of Malay-Egyptian descent proved that being prepared and quick thinking can help save the day. Except for few bruises and shock, Puteri Kaarriena escaped unharmed from the 10 minute terror ride.

The episode also revealed to this alluring young lady with a black belt in taekwando the dark side of fellow Malaysians, their indifference towards someone in distress.

A LESSON OF LIFE FOR PUTERI

As for Puteri Kaarriena the incident served as a wake up call that one should never take for granted safety in open or closed spaces and for the thousands of commuters it is a grim reminder how their safety can be compromised in a taxi. Puteri Kaarriena who is currently a trainee reporter under attachment with the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) all this while lived within the comfort and safety of her family and friends.

Growing up in a well endowed family, she considers herself as a `spoilt brat' and never had to worry of boarding public transport. "However, since I started working with Bernama as a trainee I was thrown into the real world where I had to go out and meet people from different walks of life.

"Thus, like the rest, I had to take the public transport when necessary and all this happened the first time I boarded the taxi alone," said Puteri Kaarriena who was accompanied by friends or family members in all her previous taxi rides.

HOW THE NIGHTMARE STARTED

Relating of what transpired on the afternoon of Feb 18, Puteri Kaariena said she stopped a red and white cab at KLCC to head to Starhill Gallery to cover an assignment.

"I did not suspect anything amiss after getting into the taxi and even politely answered the burly driver when he asked whether I was an Arab, to which I replied I am from Malay-Arab parentage.

"Then all of a sudden he burst into a rage, turned back to me where for the first time I saw his blood shot eyes as he screamed out curses and profanities on Arabs.

"I was stunned. He asked me all the money that I had. Immediately I opened my handbag and threw at him the RM40 that I had hoping that will calm him.

"But instead he became more agitated and threatened to kill me. I realised the situation in the cab was deteriorating fast and I had to find a way to escape from harm. I tried opening the door but it was locked.

I HAVE TO THINK FAST

He drove the taxi to a nearby secluded service road and parked it between two stationery tourist buses. I pleaded with him to let me go but instead he turned around and came close to me brandishing a sharp knife.

"I said to myself that I would not give up easily. I started banging the door with my arms, a technique that I learned from my taekwando lessons, and after five knocks the door opened and I jumped out and fell on the pavement with all my belongings.

"I got up and kicked the door close and ran a short distance before turning back to see if he was after me. I only saw the taxi leaving the spot.

"Then I made my way to the Star Hill Gallery and asked for help from passers by but only received stares from them. I sat crying beside a high end boutique hoping someone would notice me, but the people there seem to be indifferent, maybe because of my Arab looks, until an Arab man came by to ask if everything is alright.

SAFETY IS IN YOUR HANDS

"I have read in the papers of passengers being mugged in a taxi, there were even cases of some female passengers end up raped, but I could not believe that my first cab ride alone ended up like this. "Though I managed to escaped with cuts, bruises and cracked lips the fear of getting into a taxi will always be with me. Even now I have trouble sleeping as I get flashbacks of the driver's frightening facial expression and the harsh words that he uttered on Arabs.

"My advise to the others is be prepared for your personal safety. While its advisable to take up martial arts for self defence but just how many of us are willing to do it?

Maybe there are other simple things that can be done like taking note of the registration number of the taxi that you are in and send it to someone close through SMS, and if possible carry a pepper spray along. Also take a look at the driver before boarding the taxi as this can help you identify risky characters.

Marley & Me was the movie that I watched last Sunday at One Borneo Golden Screen Cinema Kota Kinabalu. I enjoyed and love this type of movie .

For those dogs lover surely will enjoy this movie. This is a story about a journalist couple John and Jenny with their family life with a dog named Marley. Marley is a Labrador Retriever breed who will eat anything, cries nonstop during thunderstorms, and grows into a giant lab who yanks the both of them along on the leash. The dog that called as the most naughty dog by his master.

As a dog lover, for me it is Great movie with a life lessons, funny sweet and sad. It makes me laugh and cry all at the same time. Suitable for anyone (U). There are a scenes where the couple start having sex but nothing is shown. As the camera focus move up to the ceiling, rhythmically squeaking bed springs are heard. For a dog lover be prepared because you will definitely cry. I admit that I cried at the end of the movie. This story recalled my memory to my dog Rocky, who was died several years ago due to a dog disease.

Since last week I feel guilty, I was thinking why others mad at me.I am absolutely terrified of people being mad at me. I have constantly done things in my life to avoid this happened and have always been a nice person. Even though I feel like I am right, I take all the blame because I am too weak to get in an argument because I don't want others to hate me.I don't want to live my life being afraid of people being mad at me,and have been miserable thinking about it.I know I am not a good person but I have tried my best to be good. I am not perfect like others so why people get mad on me. why don't they accept me as a normal human and accept my mistake.

Yesterday I watched movie to reduced my stress...but it is still the same...I just want to be like other by doing what they say " Masuk Telinga Kiri Keluar Telinga Kanan"...but it is not easy for me doing that....

A true story of a person with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus( SLE) or in short Lupus.

Her name is Destiny( not her real name) and still studying in a Higher Learning Institution. Last year, in March 2008 she was diagnosed with SLE, she had to live life as a person who happens to be chronically ill, which affects different parts of her body. She was only 25 years old at that time she was informed by the doctor that she suffered with SLE .

She said before she was diagnosed with SLE, among the symptoms that she had were, a frequent fever particularly at night. , she often feel very tired, and no matter how much rest she try to get, she seem to shake off the feeling of being exhausted. Secondly, she suffer from arthritis-like pain in her joints at times, and she also get occasional "rashes" on her face, she is sensitive to sunlight (the sunlight can make the symptoms worse), chest pain, hair loss, cold hands and feet, depression and premenstrual "flares".

She had a hard time to face the reality when the doctor confirmed that she is SLE positive . When she back home she surfed internet to find out information about the disease. Hard for her to maintain a positive attitude when she feel so rotten a lot of the time. People don't know what she have to go through with her illness, and they treat her like she is a freak and she always feel so bad when they put her down. She was thinking that she will die soon and always talk about negative things die, die and die…..

During her treatment several parts of her body particularly her face and legs was bloated as a side effect of the medication she took. Until now, sometimes the bloated can be seen on her face and legs. She also had her plasma exchange for 16 cycles. She is lucky because the treatment for the plasma exchange is not permanent.The most she worry now is her kidney, the doctor advise her to take extra care of her kidney by make a weekly appointment with a doctor.

She forgot about her own happiness and her sickness, the only she thinks is to make her parents proud of her before she close her eyes forever. She able to attend a class even though she is not feeling well. Sometimes she cry but when she thinks about her parent she will stop showing her tears but deep in side her nobody knows. She will be graduating soon and she will make her parent proud of her.

Now she is on medication for the rest of her life to control the disease.

Have you ever day dream before? :D I think this is a normal to a human like us at each level of age. During my childhood I always day dream about to become a pretty princess marry to a prince charming ( wah kecil kecil pun sudah pandai), to wear a gown like a princess, a day dream to have a dog like Scooby , to have as many as possible a Barbie Doll collection but till now never have the Barbie Collection :(.All this was influenced by the fairy tales stories like Cenderella, Snow White and the advertisement on television. For me at that time, I day dream almost the fairy tales thingy, which I hardly believe can achieve in the real & materialistic life. Yeah… I love day-dreaming until now :P he he . I enjoy the moment I letting my mind to wander one thought to another. It is very relaxing, sometimes have creative thoughts and sometimes have silly one. But now my Day Dream most about money, luxury car and traveling round the world and still sometimes the fairy tales thingy come over in my mind…:)

In short, day-dreaming can improves our creativity. Specifically, day-dreaming helps to:

I have a family members who will take any books , magazines or newspapers with them when they want to go to toilet and read while doing their business inside the restroom.I don't understand why?. When they pick up a paper and go to the toilet, its like announcing to everyone "I'm going for a big 'biz' , or might be a while" .They can be in there for 1/2 hour to 1 hour.When I go over to my friends' houses I found that they have a rack of magazines next to the toilet. Funny but it is a reality.. when I ask them why must reading a book while on the toilet, their answer is " they feel comfortable and relax while doing their business " ha ha sound funny is it?

Do you think Reading while sitting on the toilet is a bad habit?? anyone have an experience? Let us share!!!!

Being as part of Chinese in my blood become eligible for me to celebrate CNY.My Grand father with the surname " Lim" is a pure chinese married to the kadazan/dusun lady (my Grand mother) and as a sino-kadazan/dusun my dad married to my mum also a pure kadazan/dusun.Therefore the percent of chinese in my blood is less then 50% that what I think??? but some says that it is 50% because my dad is a sino kadazan/dusun not my mum. Confuse??, but never mind lah still can celebrate CNY...he he

After several years at last a new postage stamps' album for my postage stamps which costed RM44.00 for two units.

I was collecting postage stamps since I was 7 years old,at that time I was in primary one and with the helped of my sisters & brothers especially Henry Lim ( the third brother of mine ) and friends, I managed to get several collections of postage stamps all over the world.

In the past it was easier to get postage stamp but due to the advance in technology and most people communicate through mobile phone and email than the use of post mail become less important therefore stamps are difficult to find.To date I have about 400 pieces of my country postage stamps and 600 pieces overseas'.

Ok lah..I don't want to bla bla bla here with my " Broken English " so I proceed to show you my collections and how I handle them.

Maybe some of you will ask how to remove a stamp from an envelope without damage it?

It is a simple;

1.Cut the envelope roughly around the stamp. Remember,do not attempt to remove the postage stamps at this point, you might damage the postage stamps permanently.

2. Soak the stamps. Prepare a cup of warm water ( depends how many stamps you have). Be sure that it is not hot, hot water can damage the postage stamps. Submerge the envelope sections with the postage stamps attached for 30 minutes or more.

3. After a period of time, the postage stamps should separate from the envelope with ease. If the postage stamps refuse to come off, soak for a little longer. Some postage stamps are sometimes harder to remove. Be careful in separating the stamps, you might tear your postage stamps.

4. Dry your postage stamps. Carefully remove superficial water by drying the postage stamps with a towel.Do not wipe the postage stamps, press the towel to the postage stamps instead. Allowing the excess water to separate from your postage stamps. Or to be safe just leave the stamps on the towel and let them dry completely for a couple of hours.

5. Purchase a stamp album to hold your postage stamps to protect your collections.

SOAK THE POSTAGE STAMPS INTO A WARM WATER

LEAVE THE STAMPS ON THE TOWEL AND LET THEM DRY COMPLETELY FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS

The beginning of Year 2009 really bad for me..I was having diarrhea for more than 1 week...on 2nd January I went to private clinic and the doctor gave me a medicine for my pile and gastric. There was no improvement until yesterday, so I went to see the same doctor because of my sore throat and my uncomfortable stomach, no more diarrhea but my gastric become worst. The doctor advised me to avoid chili and curry or any spicy foods.

Last night my fever getting worst and I took paracetamol. This morning,I went to see the doctor again and the doctor said it is a chicken pox. Adui..malang betul lah saya.When My mum know about it you all know lah our mum kan, she said don't eat seafood,ketchup,eggs...adui all these are my favorite..but what to do have to diet lah for my own good kan. Actually I don't expect that I will get this type of disease..I thought it is a disease for those below 20 years old.So Beck, Kobie, Greg, maharaja, Vincent, sue finger,kampung Sogoh, Dusun Aroma and all my friends to be extra careful k.

Now, I feel boring don't know what to do just stay in my room and surfing Internet....hehehe

Yeah..Christmas is coming soon & I am in a Christmas Mood...Now mostly everybody who celebrate it are busy with shopping especially for their kids.All the Shopping Complex in Kota Kinabalu full of Christmas decorations From One Borneo to Centre Point, Karamunsing Complex, Wisma Merdeka, City Mall even a small shops are merrier with the Christmas songs and decorations.I can see Parents with their Kids holding hand and looking for clothes,shoes even a Christmas decorations, sometimes I can hear a small kid cries, maybe looking for their parents..Once in a while the shopping complex announcer, announce a kid that lost from their parents.But the most attracting to me is still the colourful Christmas decorations..

P/S Be extra careful!! a PICKPOCKETS are everywhere too, looking for extra income during this festival season...

Haha.. nearly forget to post my brunch and high tea....

Yesterday was Saturday 22nd November 2008, my mood spoilt because of the “ I don’t know”@ “saya tidak tahu” @ “ wo bu chi dao” @ “ Aau zou koiiho”@ ta’uh….all are the same meaning… hehehehhe sudah lah tu on my way to KK

I stranded almost 1 hour due to the flood .

I had something to be settled nearby The Taman Rainfield Penampang, and I remembered that a blogger friend had mentioned the “ Sup Ikan” nearby the area,… so I had my first time breakfast at one of the Restaurant in the Millennium Plaza…jumpa la juga itu restaurant yang sup ikan dia sadap tu...

So I walked into the restaurant and called the waiter ( My stomach bunyi kruk kruk lapar lah tu…..hehhehhe)

The waiter came:

Waiter : mau makan apa?
Me : Mee halus ada kah?
Waiter : Enda tau? ( He shrugged..Sabar lagi ni walau pun lapar, mana enda sudah jam
10.00 pagi belum breakfast lagi kalau kira Brunch sudah)
Me : Ada siow mai kah?
Waiter : Ada..
Me : Apa jenis yang ada..itu beef ball ada kah?
Waiter : Tia tau lah tu..
Me : Bah tia apa lah…ko kasi sa Lemon Tea Ping satu…sama satu mee hun sup isi
ikan guring kasi campur itu perut ikan ah…( I smile..still ok lah tu kunun)

The waiter macam bingung2 he didn’t write my order…then…I asked him

Me : kenapa kau mcm bingung? Tulis lah apa yg sa oder nanti ko lupa…
Waiter : Sa enda tau o tu yang ko oder tu…

Me : Odoi dogo bagus jangan karaja kalau semua tidak tau ( Geram sudah tp
control juga lah)

Then I asked him to called the taukeh nyong so ok lah…the soup and the slice fish was nice lah memang sadap..

In the late afternoon , almost 3.30 pm, hungry again hehehhehe makan saja bah sa ni….still nearby the Millennium Plaza..so My geng and I decided to had a meal at one of the curry house...next to the restaurant which I had my breakfast that morning.
I ordered a food from the waiter.. the boy looks like local lah..happy sikit at least ada juga karaja ini org sabah walau pun di kadai kupi ja….enda payah lah pigi jauh2 karaja kalau di kadai kupi juga…bagus lagi di Sabah saja...

Me : Tanak wagu kami mau order itu kari kepala ikan Medium size ah…mau itu nasi
beriani , ayam masak madu sama ayam goring ah…kasi sadap2 ah kami datang
jauh ni…( I joke )

Waiter : Minum? ( he smiles)

Me : Air suam ja lah…..( hehehhehhe mau jimat bah)

A few minutes later the order served…but spoilt again the fried chicken taste and smell was not fresh. I asked the same waiter …

Me : Boy kanapa ni ayam goreng ni macam enda fresh…lain rasa oh bule tukar kah?

Waiter : Ya kah enda tau lah kenapa tapi bule bah sa kasi tau itu boss ganti baru lah…itu
ayam madu sama ikan ok kah?

Me : ya ok…Cuma ini ayam guring ja tidak…

I am happy with that answer even though he respond “enda tau” but he able to cope with his work and cover the “ enda tau” words….happy cikit2 walaupun sudah termakan cikit itu ayam tidak berapa fresh…Bagus juga itu taukeh Curry house dia ganti juga itu ayam guring and say sorry to us... mungkin ada technical problem cikit waktu masak...tapi memang sadap lah...Habis sampai menjilat jari...Next time will come again...

At 5.30 pm …I reached home and found that my sandal and shoe was missing…..I asked one of my family….”mana sudah itu kasut sama solipar sa ampai sini?” you know what the answer was “ enda tau“….hehehhehe …I smiled because all the answer I got was “ enda tau”….but ok lah.....I tried to find it around the house…and finally found the shoe and the sandal was with the two puppies ( our puppies) playing with it…adui hot lah saya but sabar ja….when my family member asked me..” ko sudahlah dapat ko punya kasut sama solipar”….I respond “ Entah “….you know why I answered “ entah “ sebab sudah marah lah tu…hehhehehehe....

I wonder why people including me like to respond using the words “ Tidak tau” I actually hate that answer…..

London: A British couple in real life is getting a divorce after the wife discovered that her husband was having an affair in cyber life.

Come to the world of Second Life, the unreal, virtual world, a craze among Britons which is leading to broken relationships in the parallel, real world.

Second Life is the brainchild of an American company, Linden Lab. Players create a virtual alter ego, or avatar, which can move around the imagined world, meet people, socialise, and buy land and property and set up businesses with the game's virtual currency.

Amy Tailor, 28, and David Pollard, 40, met in an internet chat room in 2003. She moved from her home in London to be with him in Newquay in Cornwall, England and at first they had fun together, in real life and cyberspace.

In Second Life she was Laura Skye, a club DJ dressed up as a cowboy. Pollard was a bearded Dave Barmy who lived in a chalet with a Cobra helicopter gunship parked outside.

When home, each nurtured and lived their fantasies through their alter egos in Second Life.

One day, Amy woke up from an afternoon nap to see Pollard at his computer, watching his virtual character Barmy having sex with an online call girl.

She fumed. She said: "I went mad - I was so hurt. I just couldn't believe what he'd done. I looked at the computer screen and could see his character having sex with a female character. It's cheating as far as I'm concerned."

They made up eventually and got married in Cornwall in 2005. Barmy and Skye held a lavish party in their world to mark the occasion. But then, last April Amy caught Pollard once again, this time watching Barmy cuddling a girl.

That was it. She filed for divorce and even changed her maiden name. It is to be finalised next week.

Their virtual characters already got a cyber divorce in May.

Pollard defended himself saying it was after all an affair in the unreal world. He said he began the cyber affair because of his wife's addiction to a computer game.

He said "Amy never did anything around the house. She just played World of Warcraft all the time. If I wanted to spend time with her I had to ask, but it was always too much trouble for her to come off the game to spend time with me, so the marriage was a bit of a joke."

A British charity, Relate, has that its counsellors were coming across an increasing number of people whose real-life relationships were falling apart because of what was happening in their parallel, unreal worlds.

It is now becoming a trend in Second Life of the virtual characters taking on roles of private detectives to keep an eye on the affairs of their cyber mates or act as cyber relationship counsellors.

Chinese called it "Guo Zong" a very nice cake...according to the chinese tradition this cake baked during the Dragon Boat Festival.. but nowadays it can be found easily at coffee shops or food stalls during breakfast or tea time..this one I bought at a coffeeshop nearby for only RM1.50 each..reasonable price.

My heart left in Langkawi....Year 2005 was my first time visited Langkawi...at that time deep in my heart said " I will be back to you Langkawi "...and yes last January I visited Langkawi for the second time...two nights in Langkawi not enough for me......Now I miss Langkawi..ya really miss the air and the scenery...

Tagal System in Sabah

Tagal is a traditional river management system implemented by community to promote sustainable use of river in Sabah and to protect the river. This system also is to avoid the decline of fish cause by destruction of breeding area, use of poision and Tuba for fishing.

How is the tagal system works? a commitee will set up to identify areas in the river for the Tagal. the area will be divided into zones & fishing is prohibited for a certain period. Offender of the tagal regulations is trailed in the village chief court or native court and fine heavily. Fish is harvested when the committee and community decided so and the fishes are shared regulary among the members of community.

In conjunction of Sabah International Expo (SIE) started from 15th oct 2008 till 19 October 2008..Major trade fair of the Asian Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA)..Venue at 1Borneo,Concourse level Kota Kinabalu sabah.

And last nite 17th Oct 2008 8.30pm there was a Musical fireworks Extravanganza!!! at One Borneo...I only able to captured 1 minute video clip of this fabulous show..After waiting for almost 1 hour the show at last started at 9.00pm..

Siok betul tengok itu yang orang putih cakap musical fireworks,....CANTIK!!!..MENARIK!!!..nasib baik lah kamera buruk ni boleh ambil video clip..tapi cuma 1 minit lebih saja sebab memory card full jadi postlah saja apa yang ada...

ASPIRIN..was first produced commercially in 1899, it is the most common pain reliever known today.The Bayer AG, in Germany, manufactured aspirin in powdered form. The real name of aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid was first synthesized by chemist from Alsace, called Karl Gerhardt. But its value as a pain reliever was only recognised in 1899, and by 1915 it was believe in tablet form and it gained wide usage.

GLASSES.Originally invented by unknown italian glass worker from Tuscany between 1280and 1286. The first eyeglasses were suitable only for the far sighted and it was only in the 15th century that concave lenses for the near sighted appeared. Spectacles appeared in china in 15th century.Benjamin Franklin , who did not like carrying two pairs of glasses with him invented bifocal in 1785.

FALSE TEETH. The Etruscan were centuries a head of their contemporaries in the feil of dentistry.In about 700BC, they succeed in making partial dentures.These early false teeth were carved from bone or ivory or were taken from the mouths of young cattle. In the 18th century a parisian dentist by the name of Pierre fauchard made upper and lower sets joined with steel springs. This kept the upper set in position but gave the wearer problems when he tried to close this mouth.

FROZEN FOOD. Until the early 1900s, ice cooled food and drinks were luxury only available to the very rich. But in order to keep food frozen, a refrigeration mechine had to be developed which could ensure a stablized tempreture. Pakar Perubatan dan Reumatologi, Hospital Putrajaya, Dr. Heselynn Hussein berkata, masalah ini berlaku apabila antibodi yang terhasil menyerang tisu-tisu tubuh sendiri.
Menurutnya, sepatutnya antibodi yang terhasil bertindak mempertahankan tubuh daripada serangan jangkitan organisme tetapi bagi penyakit SLE, antibodi menyerang sel-sel badan pesakit itu sendiri.
“Dengan ini timbulnya gejala-gejala penyakit SLE,” katanya.
Sistem pertahanan tubuh merupakan rangkaian sel dan organ yang bertindak melindungi tubuh daripada serangan benda-benda asing.
Kemampuan sistem pertahanan mengenali berjuta-juta molekul asing yang masuk ke dalam tubuh menyebabkan antibodi dihasilkan.
Bagaimanapun, tanpa diketahui punca dan sebabnya, pada sesetengah keadaan antibodi ini boleh menyerang sel-sel tubuh sendiri.
Terdapat dua kelas lupus yang utama, Discoid Lupus Eritematosus (DLE) dan Sistemik Lupus Eritematosus.
Menurut sejarahnya, DLE dinamakan oleh seorang doktor Perancis, Cazenave pada tahun 1851 yang menyifatkan tompok-tompok merah pada wajah seolah-olah seperti gigitan serigala.
DLE dikatakan tidak begitu serius kerana ia tidak melarat ke organ-organ tubuh yang lain.
Bagaimanapun, pada tahun 1885 seorang pakar perubatan, Sir William Osler mendapati bahawa penyakit ini turut membabitkan organ-organ dan sistem tubuh yang lain.
Beliau telah menambah perkatan `sistemik’ untuk membezakan daripada discoid lupus.
Dr. Heselynn menjelaskan, tindak balas abnormal yang menjejaskan pelbagai fungsi tubuh menyebabkan penyakit ini dipanggil Sistemik Lupus Eritematosus.
“Ini termasuklah sendi, saraf, darah, buah pinggang, kulit, lapisan paru-paru dan jantung.
“Sebagai contoh, antibodi ini boleh memecahkan sel-sel darah merah sekali gus menyebabkan seseorang mendapat hemolitik anemia,” katanya.
Lupus adalah perkataan yang berasal daripada bahasa Latin. Ia bermaksud serigala dan eritematosus bermakna kemerah-merahan.
Menurut Dr. Heselynn, penghidap SLE lebih ramai di kalangan wanita berbanding lelaki dengan nisbah 9:1.
“Kebanyakan wanita yang menghidap SLE berada dalam lingkungan umur selepas baligh hinggalah menopaus,” katanya.
Kajian mendapati SLE lebih banyak ditemui di kalangan masyarakat Timur berbanding penduduk negara Barat.
Bagaimanapun, hingga kini belum ada statistik LSE dikumpulkan di Malaysia.
Di negara Barat, statistik mendapati penghidap SLE di kalangan masyarakat Afro-Caribbean ialah satu daripada 250 hingga 500 penduduk.
Di Amerika setiap satu daripada 2,000 penduduk manakala di China setiap satu daripada 1,000 orang penduduk.
Menurut Dr. Heselynn, SLE tidak dikategorikan sebagai penyakit berjangkit atau kanser.
Malah, ia juga bukan penyakit yang diwarisi secara langsung.
“Pesakit-pesakit ini mungkin mewarisi sistem pertahanan tubuh yang mudah menjadi abnormal apabila terdedah kepada faktor-faktor persekitaran.
“Ini termasuklah sama ada cahaya matahari, ubat-ubatan tertentu, virus atau punca-punca yang tidak diketahui,” ujarnya.
Menurut beliau, meskipun ia berpunca daripada auto imun, namun gejala yang dialami oleh seorang pesakit dengan pesakit yang lain adalah berbeza-beza.
Sehubungan itu, katanya, agak sukar untuk doktor mengenal pasti sekali gus mengesahkan seseorang itu adalah penghidap SLE.
“Telah menjadi lumrah apabila seseorang mendapat demam bersilih ganti mereka akan bertukar-tukar doktor untuk mendapatkan rawatan yang berkesan.
“Apabila pesakit ada kecenderungan bertukar-tukar doktor, ini menyebabkan tiada rawatan susulan dapat dilakukan. Jadi sukar untuk kami menentukan masalah kesihatan yang dialami,” katanya.
Tambahnya, banyak salah tanggapan dilabelkan kepada penyakit LSE yang menyebabkan penghidapnya menganggap ia sebagai noktah kehidupan.
“Meskipun hingga kini penyakit ini belum ada penawarnya, namun dengan rawatan ubat-ubatan ia dapat dikawal,” katanya.
Punca
Punca sebenar yang menyebabkan sistem pertahanan tubuh pesakit LSE bercelaru masih tidak diketahui. Namun, ada beberapa teori yang dikaitkan dengan SLE seperti:
* Jangkitan virus
* Hormon
* Faktor persekitaran
* Genetik. Penghidap mewarisi sistem pertahanan abnormal
Diagnosa
SLE tidak menunjukkan gejala yang sama antara seorang penghidap dengan penghidap yang lain.
Sehubungan itu, pesakit hanya akan disahkan sebagai penghidap SLE berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan oleh American Rheumatologi Association (ARA).
Menurut ARA, seseorang boleh dikategorikan sebagai penghidap SLE sekiranya mereka mempunyai 4 daripada 11 kriteria yang disenaraikan iaitu:
A. Kulit
* kulit muka menjadi merah apabila terdedah pada cahaya matahari (photosensitivity)
* Discoid rash - ruam pada kulit saja
* Mulut pecah
* Malar rash
B. Organ
* Kegagalan fungsi buah pinggang
* Masalah pada sistem saraf seperti strok, psikosis, radang saraf (mononeuritis)
* Sistem sendi (artritis)
* Serositis - radang pada lapisan jantung atau paru-paru.
C. Ujian makmal
* Terdapat ujian imunologi dan sistem pendarahan yang abnormal.
* Ujian darah imunologi akan dilakukan untuk menentukan sama ada terdapat antibodi nuclear factor (ANF) dalam darah mereka.
Dianggarkan 95 peratus penghidap SLE mempunyai ANF yang positif.
Gejala-gejala
* Sakit pada sendi
* Demam berlarutan
* Keletihan
* Ruam-ruam pada kulit muka dan badan
* Anemia
* Sensitif pada cahaya matahari
* Ulser mulut
* Keguguran rambut
Rawatan
Terdapat empat kategori rawatan ubat-ubatan yang diberi kepada pesakit SLE iaitu:
* Non Steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Ubat ini untuk melegakan sakit otot dan radang sendi.
* Ubat antimalaria. Ubat antimalaria seperti chloroquine dan hydroxycholoroquine adalah ubat yang paling sesuai untuk masalah kulit dan sakit sendi.
* Steroid. Rawatan ini dapat membantu mengurangkan radang dan tindak balas sistem pertahanan tubuh.
Bagaimanapun, penggunaan ubat seumpama ini boleh menimbulkan pelbagai kesan sampingan.
Ini termasuklah seperti pesakit mudah mendapat jangkitan kuman, pertambahan berat badan, muka bulat, lemah otot dan sebagainya.
* Imunosupresif. Ubat seperti azathioprine, cyclophosphamide dan cyclosporin juga bertindak seperti steroid.
Seperti steroid, ubat ini juga boleh menimbulkan kesan sampingan di mana pesakit mudah mendapat jangkitan kuman.
Panduan
* Diet. Hingga kini, belum ada diet yang membuktikan bahawa SLE dapat dikurangkan dengan pengambilan makanan tertentu.
Bagaimanapun, ada kajian yang mengatakan minyak ikan dan makanan rendah lemak tepu boleh membantu penghidap SLE.
* Senaman. Pesakit dinasihatkan melakukan senaman untuk memperbaiki pergerakan sendi.
* Tekanan. Elakkan tekanan kerana ia boleh menyebabkan penyakit ini menjadi aktif.
* Perlindungan kulit. Pesakit dinasihatkan supaya memakai pelindung matahari SPF melebihi 25, menggunakan payung, topi atau baju lengan panjang bagi mengelakkan terkena pancaran matahari.
* Ubat-ubatan. Hendaklah makan ubat mengikut arahan doktor.
Pesakit dinasihatkan supaya tidak mengamalkan ubat-ubatan hospital dengan ubat-ubat lain sekaligus kerana kita tidak tahu kesan sampingan ubatan lain dan kemungkinan ada interaksi antara ubat-ubat ini.
* Rawatan susulan. Pastikan pesakit mematuhi jadual rawatan susulan yang ditetapkan.

Pengalaman penghidap SLE
BEBERAPA tahun yang lalu, setiap kali bertemu dengan tiga huruf S, L, E dan diajukan soalan mengenainya saya pasti terkeliru.
Meskipun pernah membaca mengenainya sebelum ini, namun sebagai seorang yang tidak berlatarkan sains perubatan agak sukar untuk saya memahami apa sebenarnya yang dimaksudkan Sistemik Lupus Eritematosus atau lebih ringkas SLE.
Bagaimanapun, pertemuan dengan beberapa orang penghidap SLE dalam majlis rumah terbuka Persatuan SLE baru-baru ini dan kesudian mereka berkongsi pengalaman sedikit sebanyak membantu saya mendapatkan gambaran yang lebih jelas berhubung penyakit itu.
Ternyata sebagaimana payahnya saya memahami penyakit berkenaan, begitulah kesukaran yang dialami oleh penghidapnya untuk mengenalpasti tanda-tanda bahawa mereka sebenarnya menghidap SLE.
Bagi Halina Ali (bukan nama sebenar), 45, perubahan demi perubahan yang dialami pada dirinya pada mulanya dianggap sebagai masalah biasa.
Menurutnya, penurunan berat badan yang menyebabkan tubuhnya semakin kurus mendapat perhatian rakan-rakannya.
“Ramai yang mengatakan tubuh saya semakin lama semakin susut, namun saya tidak begitu menyedari perubahan yang ketara itu,” katanya yang kehilangan berat badan sebanyak 10 kilogram dalam tempoh setahun.
Tambah Halina, setiap kali menjelang senja, demamnya akan datang secara tiba-tiba dan sembuh pada keesokan harinya.
Selain demam yang datang dan pergi silih berganti, Halina turut mengalami rasa sakit dan kekejangan pada jari jemarinya.
Menyedari perubahan demi perubahan itu, Halina akhirnya nekad berjumpa doktor untuk mendapatkan kepastian masalah kesihatan yang dihadapinya.
Hasil pemeriksaan doktor dan beberapa ujian yang dilakukan, Halina disahkan menghidap SLE.
Kakitangan syarikat swasta ini menambah, selain mengalami gejala-gejala tersebut, gusinya juga berdarah ketika memberus gigi.
Ketika menyikat rambut, dia juga mengalami keguguran rambut yang banyak.
Menurut Halina, sebelum disahkan menghidap SLE, dia tidak menafikan bahawa tidak mempunyai pengetahuan berhubung penyakit itu.
“Saya akui sebelum ini saya langsung tidak mengetahui mengenai SLE. Bagaimanapun, saya rasa terpanggil untuk berkongsi pengalaman dengan orang lain supaya mereka tahu mengenai SLE.
“Seperti yang saya alami, dari aspek fizikal memang kita nampak sihat dan normal macam orang lain, tapi siapa tahu kemungkinan ada antara kita sebenarnya menghidap SLE,” katanya.
Ketika berbicara dengan ibu kepada empat anak ini, dia sememangnya kelihatan normal seperti wanita-wanita lain.
Kata Halina, dengan berkongsi pengalamannya dia dapat membantu meningkatkan kesedaran orang lain.
Ditanya perasaannya apabila disahkan penghidap SLE, Halina mengakui pada mulanya dia begitu terkejut dan amat sukar menerima hakikat itu.
“Hampir seminggu saya menangisi nasib kerana seolah-olah merasakan menghidap SLE bermakna ini adalah noktah kehidupan saya,” katanya.
Namun, setelah berjumpa dengan mereka yang juga menghidap SLE, Halina mendapat sedikit kekuatan kerana ada orang yang senasib dengannya.
“Apabila bertemu dengan penghidap-penghidap SLE yang lain, saya sepatutnya bersyukur kerana saya sebenarnya lebih bernasib baik berbanding orang lain,” katanya.
Wajahnya yang cukup tenang ketika berbicara menyukarkan sesiapa pun meneka apa yang tersirat di sebalik kehidupannya.
Menyedari bahawa penyakit yang dihidapi belum lagi ada penawarnya dan untuk memastikan tahap kesihatan sentiasa baik, Halina perlu mengambil ubat-ubatan sepanjang hidupnya.
Bagaimanapun, Halina mengakui setelah didiagnos menghidap SLE, hubungan dengan ahli keluarganya menjadi lebih rapat.
“Alhamdulillah, keluarga amat memahami masalah yang saya hadapi dan mereka sentiasa memberi semangat kepada saya untuk meneruskan kehidupan,” ujarnya.
Pengalaman yang dilalui Halina tidak banyak bezanya dengan Fauziah Amin (bukan nama sebenar), 25, yang disahkan menghidap SLE dua tahun lalu.
Menurut Fauziah, dia juga langsung tidak tahu-menahu tentang SLE sebelum ini hinggalah hasil pemeriksaan dan ujian yang dijalankan membuktikan dia menghidap penyakit itu.
Katanya, dia tidak begitu terkejut dengan hasil ujian yang dijalankan kerana pernah dimaklumkan oleh doktor sebelum ini.
“Alhamdulillah, saya boleh terima hakikat ini kecuali kedua-dua ibu bapa,” katanya.
Tambah Fauziah, sebelum disahkan sebagai penghidap SLE, doktor juga telah mengesyaki kemungkinan dia menghidap SLE.
Gejala-gejala yang dialaminya ialah seperti sakit pada sendi tangan, ruam pada muka dan keguguran rambut.
Kata Fauziah, sememangnya sukar baginya menjelaskan kepada doktor pada peringkat awal tentang keadaan dirinya.
Dia tidak menafikan perubahan demi perubahan yang dialaminya sememangnya begitu mengelirukan.
“Apabila berjumpa doktor saya rasakan saya sihat seperti individu lain, tetapi pada masa yang sama saya seolah-olah merasakan saya tidak sihat,” katanya.
Justeru, katanya, seseorang yang mengalami penyakit seperti dirinya, seharusnya tidak mengambil mudah kerana terdapat kemungkinan mereka juga sebenarnya menghidap SLE.
Setelah disahkan menghidap SLE, Fauziah terdorong untuk mencari maklumat sebanyak mungkin berhubung penyakit itu bagi meningkatkan pengetahuannya.
“Seboleh-bolehnya saya ingin mendapatkan maklumat mengenai SLE ini sebanyak mungkin supaya saya dapat mengetahui dan memahaminya dengan lebih jelas,” katanya yang banyak mendapatkan maklumat daripada Internet.
Malah, kata Fauziah jika dibandingkan dengan orang lain, dia juga agak bernasib baik kerana keputusan yang diperoleh mengesahkan bahawa dia menghidap SLE.
“Melalui pengalaman yang dikongsi dengan mereka yang menghidap SLE, sesetengahnya mengambil masa yang agak lama untuk mengetahui penyakit yang dihidapi.
“Apabila lambat diketahui, rawatan yang diberikan juga agak lewat,” katanya.
Anak kedua daripada tiga beradik ini menambah, kegagalannya mematuhi jadual ubat yang ditetapkan menyebabkan penyakit yang dihidapinya menjadi lebih serius berbanding sebelum ini.
“Selama dua minggu, setiap malam saya mengalami demam panas yang begitu teruk hingga saya merasakan tiada harapan untuk hidup,” jelasnya.
Perkara paling sukar bagi Fauziah ialah untuk mengawal moodnya.
Ada waktu-waktunya dia merasakan ada sesuatu yang tidak kena pada dirinya yang menyukarkan dia mengawal perasaan marah.
“Hakikatnya, saya sememangnya menyedari tindakan yang saya lakukan.
“Bagi mereka yang memahami mengenai masalah SLE yang saya hidapi, mungkin boleh menerima hakikat ini, bagi mereka yang tidak mengetahuinya mereka mungkin tersinggung,” ujarnya.
Menurut Fauziah, meskipun pertama kali dia menyertai program yang dianjurkan oleh Persatuan SLE, namun banyak manfaat yang diperolehnya.
“Selain dapat mengenali mereka yang sama-sama menghidap SLE dan bertukar-tukar pendapat sekurang-kurang kita mengetahui bahawa bukan kita seorang yang menghadapi masalah ini,” katanya.
Persatuan SLE yang ditubuhkan oleh para doktor dan pesakit bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kefahaman orang ramai berhubung penyakit ini.
Selain memberi sokongan sosial dan psikologi kepada pesakit, pelbagai aktiviti dianjurkan untuk dimanfaatkan oleh pesakit SLE.

SLE or Lupus is a cronic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation of various parts of the body such as the skin,joints,kidneys,heart and nervous system.The immune system loses its ability to tell the difference between foreign substances or antigens and its own cell and tissues.

Symptoms :

1. A rash over the cheeks also called ' butterfly rashes'
2. Reaction to sunlight resulting to developing of skin rashes
3.Ulcer in the mouth,usually painless
4.Arthritis involving two or more joint
5.Inflammation of of the cavity surrounding the lungs or heart

'Issue is about fake M'sians; not those without documents'
Kota Kinabalu: Sri Tanjong Assemblyman Jimmy Wong Sze Phin said the illegal immigrant problem in Sabah is not about illegals without documents but rather those who had obtained the MyKad illegally.
He estimated there to be some 500,000 such MyKad holders in the State and that if this was not addressed immediately, it would jeopardise the sovereignty of the State.
"This is a dangerous thing and it is like a time bomb for Sabah," he said in a statement distributed to reporters outside the hall.
He expressed full support with both BN and opposition leaders who had repeatedly called on the Government to be serious in this matter.
Compared to those without the MyKad, he said foreigners who are in possession of the MyKad through dubious means were the ones who are really dangerous.
"They can (practically) do anything once they are in the system," he said.
In this respect, he said only a Royal Commission could address the grave matter. Wong hoped that the BN will wake up and use strong political will to resolve the problem.
Fake Malaysians, he said, are found in almost every corner of the country but the Federal Government had not been serious in tackling the issue.
He claimed these fake Malaysians have already infiltrated government departments and that it is just a matter of time before they become leaders.
Wong shuddered to think what would happen to real Malaysians in Sabah should this happen.
"This is the number one issue in Sabah É so, top priority (must be given) to solve it in order to protect our nation and the local people," he said.
He said anything less than a Royal Commission is a waste of time and taxpayers' money.

Recently, My loved one and I went to lunch at Salut Seafood Restaurant one of my favorite restaurant....we ordered fried rice with garlic, 'udang goreng tepung 'with mayonis and fried tungfun wit shrimps ... drinks of coz my favorite drink starfruit juice and plain water....you know how much does it cost RM63.00 for two.....hehehhehehe...can't believe but what to do have to pay lah sebab sudah masuk perut...

But anyway... we enjoyed the food..we finished it without any left ... hehhehe..if not it wasting my money lah...
